Let's move to Saudi Arabia !!!!

Khaled never thought a form of temporary marriage, described by some in Saudi Arabia as legal prostitution, would open the door to his happily-ever-after.
The 25-year-old Saudi security guard opted to marry Zeinab, also a Saudi, through a "misyar" contract -- a kind of marriage-lite under which couples often live separately but get together regularly, sometimes just for sex.
Khaled and Zeinab are among thousands of people who choose misyar in this ultraconservative Islamic kingdom where contact between unrelated men and women is forbidden and extramarital sex regarded as a grave sin.
Misyar also offers an alternative to cash-strapped men who want to avoid lavish weddings but would like a relationship, without incurring the wrath of the morality police.
Under misyar, the husband is not financially responsible for his wife, and the marriage often ends in divorce.
Khaled, who declined to give his full name, admitted he wasn't serious about commitment when he decided on misyar.
But now, he and Zeinab are expecting a baby together.
"I thought let's give it a try ... and now I feel like a hero in a romantic film," he said.
Misyar is allowed under Sunni Islam and it is legal in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam. But it is traditionally frowned upon and the fact that it leaves the wife financially vulnerable has angered many women's activists and intellectuals.
"Misyar reduces marriage to sexual intercourse," said Hatoun al-Fassi, a female Saudi historian. "For clerics to allow it is shameful for our religion."

Naked in Winbledon

Nothing new... Maria Sharapova and Elena Dementieva were playing. Sharapova served at 95 mph (see IBM panel) and... tunc! The ball hit the naked man.

To consider that Sharapova turned back to the scene to not loose the concentration and Elena is still looking for the ball.

Sharapova won the tournament.

Do you know what G8 means?

They actually auto denominate themselves as the leading industrialized countries. Together they have 60% of the world's gross domestic products.
They also say "we are united by common values of democracy, human rights and free-market economy" ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah !!!! This this the AH AH AH OF THE DAY!!!

4 years ago they invited the Brazilian president Luis Inacio "Lula" da Silva to participate as guest of their meeting. That opportunity Lula proposed G8 to find a way to finish with the hunger worldwide.

Of course they applauded, shown their yellow smile but nobody did anything. Lula also did nothing, actually he did: he stinguished the ministry he created for that purpose, eh, eh!!!

This means that nobody does homework... imagine worldwork.

This year Lula was invited again. Now I realize for what. Imagine the following chat:

"... and now we are going to see an unit that is an example of what is poor. Sitting on on this chair we can see the Brazilian president "Lula". He represents a poor country called Brazil. Mr Bush, he comes from South America and he's supporting Venezuela to get a chair at United nations!!!"

Uh- Uhhh !!!!

Good news for my future. $1.5 million donated to research prostate cancer at University of Alberta (Edmonton).

What a good reason to live there. I just wonder if they will change the old fashioned way of checking cancer... I hope so!!!!

Bomba !!! (13/Jul)

'Bread and butter exercise' - That's the name of the exercise that killed 3 in a helicopter crash. The questions that remain: Who was the bread? Who was preparing the sandwich and forgot to pilot?

The picture proves that they had time to cover the sandwich with the helicopter!
Whee haaa :)

Stampede festival is about to finish. This is a great event in Calgary and you must go if you are visiting Alberta.

Date format :(

I am new in Canada, just learning the cultures and so on, but there's something that bothers me: The date format. There is no standard; you never know. Go and get the last 10 receipts you have from different stores... surprise!
Ficamos bastante tempo sem publicar nada, mas finalmente voltamos. Espero atualizar o mais breve possível.
